Privacy Policy
1. Data protection at a glance
Protecting your personal data is important to us. This website does not use tracking cookies. For anonymous, aggregated usage statistics we use our own self-hosted Umami instance, which works without cookies and does not create cross-site user profiles (see Section 8). To protect our forms from abuse, we use the Cloudflare Turnstile service (see Section 5). Beyond that, we only process personal data when you actively provide it to us, for example via our contact or beta test form or when signing up for our newsletter.
2. Controller
KIWI Van Manufaktur GmbH & Co. KG

3. Hosting
This website is operated and hosted by Verges Ventures GmbH, Freseniusstraße 31h, 81247 Munich. To deliver the website, technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address as well as the date and time of access) is processed. This processing is carried out on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable provision of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Contacting us (contact form and email)
When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address and your message) in order to handle and respond to your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your request or the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(f) or (b) GDPR). We do not pass this data on without your consent and store it until your request has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations apply. If you also subscribe to the newsletter via the contact form, Section 6 applies to that.
4a. Beta test application
When you apply via our beta test form, we process the contact details you provide (name, email address, optionally phone number) as well as your details about your vehicle and devices and any photos you upload. We use this data to review your application, assess the technical feasibility of connecting your devices, and run the beta test programme with you. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures and of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) as well as our legitimate interest in handling your application (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is transmitted to our email service provider (see Section 7). We store the data until your application or a subsequent test phase has been completed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
To protect our forms from automated requests and abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the form is loaded, technically necessary data such as your IP address and information about your browser is transmitted to Cloudflare and evaluated there to check whether the request originates from a human. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This may involve a transfer of data to the USA, based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. For more information, see Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
6. Newsletter
We use your email address to send our newsletter. Sign-up follows a double opt-in procedure: after you sign up, we send you a confirmation email containing a link with which you confirm your subscription. This ensures that the sign-up actually originates from you. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter and withdraw your consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter email or by message to info@womonet.io. We store your email address for sending the newsletter until you unsubscribe.
7. Delivery service provider (processing on our behalf)
To manage contact requests and send the newsletter, we use the service Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany). Brevo processes the data you provide on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place on servers within the European Union. For more information, see Brevo's privacy policy: https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.
8. Web analytics (Umami)
To understand how our website is used and to improve it, we use Umami, an open-source web analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own server (analytics.womonet.io). Umami works without cookies and does not store any information on your device. It collects anonymized, aggregated data such as the pages visited, the referring website, and general information about the browser and device. IP addresses are only processed temporarily to derive a rough, non-personal origin (e.g. the country) and are not stored. The data never leaves our server and is not shared with third parties; it does not allow us to identify you or to track you across other websites. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the needs-based design and improvement of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
9. Your rights
You have the right at any time to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and to object, in accordance with the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
